Airbnb rarely hands out sitewide promo codes. Real savings usually come from a mix of things: a promo code for Experiences, a referral coupon for new guests, travel credit earned from inviting friends, coupon credit sitting in your account, or weekly and monthly discounts set by hosts. This page lines each option up next to the others so you can see which one fits your trip.
If you also compare other travel sites before booking, our Trip.com coupon code and Booking.com coupon code pages work the same way.
Current Airbnb Coupon Codes (October 2026)
| Code | Deal | Terms | Status |
|---|---|---|---|
| OAWKBALI2026 | 10% off any Airbnb Experience, up to US$100 per booking | One redemption per person. Valid until October 31, 2026. | Reported working (listed by two trackers) |
This code came from a partner promotion and is listed on the code trackers below as a current Experiences code. Trackers differ on how reliably it applies, so try it at checkout and read the terms before paying. We left out several other codes this month because they appeared on only one tracker or were locked to another country.
Airbnb Deal Types Compared Side by Side
| Deal type | How you get it | What it saves | The catch |
|---|---|---|---|
| Experience promo codes | Enter at checkout during a partner promo | 10% off Experiences, up to US$100 per booking | Experiences only. One redemption per person. Cannot combine with other referral programs or incentives. |
| Referral coupon (new guest) | Sign up through a friend’s invite link | Varies by country; trackers cite up to $40 off a first stay | Only for qualifying reservations. The referral program is open only in certain countries. |
| Referral travel credit (earned) | Your referred friend completes a qualifying trip | Credit toward your next booking | Expires one year from issue. Total referral credit cannot pass 15% of the booking. Cannot combine with gift credits. Used once, even if you cancel. |
| Coupon credit | Issued by Airbnb (promos, adjustments) | Varies | Check expiry under Profile > Payments & Payouts > Credits & Coupons. |
| Weekly and monthly discounts | Hosts set them on their listings | Weekly 5% to 15%, monthly up to 50% | Applies automatically, but only on listings where the host offers it. |
Coupon Credit vs Referral Credit: How They Differ
This is the part that trips up most travelers, because Airbnb uses two different credit systems with similar names.
A referral coupon is for new guests. When you join through an invite link, your coupon shows up automatically on the checkout page for your first qualifying reservation. That reservation has to meet a minimum value, and taxes and fees do not count toward it.
Referral travel credit is what you earn as the inviter. Once your friend finishes a qualifying trip, the credit lands in your account and appears on the checkout page for your next reservation. If it has not shown up, your friend has not completed the trip yet or the reservation did not qualify. The credit expires one year from the issue date, you can only use it once, and the total of referral credits on one booking cannot go over 15% of the booking’s total cost.
Coupon credit covers other credits Airbnb issues, such as gift-card balances. One rule worth knowing: referral travel credits cannot be used together with gift credits. Pick the larger of the two at checkout.
One more honest note. Airbnb’s guest referral program is not open everywhere. Its help pages list eligible countries, so check the program page for your region before counting on a referral discount. Travelers who book hotels more often may also want to compare the Expedia coupon code and Hotels.com coupon code pages.
How to Redeem an Airbnb Promo Code
- Browse Airbnb Experiences and add the experience you want.
- On the checkout page, look for the coupon or promo code field.
- Enter the code exactly as written and apply it before paying.
Per Airbnb’s official coupon terms, the code must be entered during checkout and can only be used with a single eligible Experience booking. If your reservation later gets a refund, you only get back what you actually paid.
How We Check These Deals
Each code above was kept only after it appeared on two or more independent deal trackers within the last seven days. Codes that showed up on a single site or carried another country’s terms were left out. Read exactly how we check deals at /how-i-check-deals/.
Airbnb Coupon FAQs
Q. Can I use two Airbnb promo codes on one booking?
A. No. Airbnb allows one coupon per booking, and you cannot stack a promo code with referral credits or other referral incentives.
Q. A tracker listed a code but it did not work for me. Why?
A. Many codes are locked by region or by product. Some work only for Experiences, some only in Japan or the UK. Always match the terms to your account’s country and the type of booking.
Q. Do Airbnb referral credits expire?
A. Yes, travel credit expires one year from the issue date. A referral coupon used on a reservation that you then cancel cannot be used again.
Q. Can I add a promo code to a stay I already booked?
A. No. Airbnb’s coupon terms say codes cannot be applied retroactively to completed reservations. They only work when entered at checkout.
Q. Does Airbnb have a student or military discount?
A. No standard student or military discount exists. Deal trackers suggest looking for promo codes, referral credit, or hosts who offer their own discounted rates instead.
Discounts change fast. Trackers report what they saw working at the time they checked, and we have not tested these codes ourselves. Always read the terms on the checkout page before you pay.
