Trip.com runs promo codes, app-only fares, and a membership rewards program at the same time, which is why its coupons confuse people. Codes fail at checkout for boring reasons: wrong region, wrong product, or a minimum spend you missed. Below are the codes still circulating this week, followed by the myths travelers repeat about Trip.com coupons and what the sources actually say.

Current Trip.com Promo Codes (October 2026)
| Code | Deal | Terms | Status |
|---|---|---|---|
| TRIPTUE20USD | $20 off international flights | Minimum spend $300. App only. Limited uses. Ends October 30, 2026. | Reported working (listed by three trackers) |
| TRIP5CAR | 5% off car rental bookings | One-time use per customer. Cannot be used with other offers. | Reported working (listed by two trackers) |
| GIESWKNFXG | $43.50 off vacation rental or apartment bookings | Ends October 20, 2026. | Reported working (listed by two trackers) |
Each code above was listed as working by two or more independent trackers within the last seven days. Trackers differ on success rates, so enter the code exactly as written and check that the discount appears before you pay. A few other codes made the rounds this week (a Vietnam Airlines flight code, an Australia-only flight code) but were dropped here: one had only a single source, the other was region-locked.
Myth vs Fact: How Trip.com Coupons Really Work
Myth: Trip.com promo codes never work. They are all fake.
Fact: Trackers record real checkouts. Community members on one tracker tested TRIPTUE20USD on us.trip.com on October 10 and TRIP5CAR on October 3, and both applied. Most failed attempts come down to terms, not fake codes: the booking was not made in the app, the spend was under the minimum, or the code was meant for another country.
Myth: You can stack a promo code with Trip Coins for double savings.
Fact: Several Trip.com offers state the code cannot be used with other offers or discounts. On the membership side, Trip Coins rebates are calculated on the amount after discounts and promo codes are applied. The two systems sit next to each other, they do not multiply each other.
Myth: A code from any country works on your account.
Fact: Many Trip.com codes are region-locked. Trackers this week carried an Australia-only flight code, UK-only railcard codes, and Singapore-only bank promos alongside US codes. TRIPTUE20USD was tested on the US site. Match the code to your region before trying it.
Myth: Member pricing and promo codes are the same thing.
Fact: They are separate systems. The Trip.com Rewards program has six tiers (Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, Diamond+, Black Diamond) where members earn Trip Coins on bookings, with 100 coins worth about US$1 off at checkout. Promo codes are one-time discounts with their own terms. You can be a member and still need a code for a code-based deal.
Myth: New users automatically get discount codes by email.
Fact: Trackers describe welcome deals of up to 8-10% off a first booking, but they are redeemed by booking through the Trip.com app, not by waiting for an email. Signing up is only step one; the booking has to happen in the app.
App-Only Fares and Membership Tiers
This is the section that matters most on Trip.com, because the app is where the platform puts its best prices. Trackers consistently note that the strongest deals, including TRIPTUE20USD above, only apply to bookings made through the mobile app.
The membership program, Trip.com Rewards, runs on Trip Coins. Members earn coins on eligible bookings and community activity, and 100 coins equal about US$1 off at checkout with no minimum redemption threshold. The six tiers are Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, Diamond+, and Black Diamond, and higher tiers unlock coin bonus multipliers between 20% and 200%, plus perks like free airport VIP lounge passes and free global eSIM data packages. Some perks, like train refund fee waivers and airport transfer upgrades, can only be claimed inside the app.
Two more official mechanics worth knowing. Trip.com offers a Best Price Guarantee on eligible hotel bookings marked with the price match indicator: find a lower public price for identical booking details on a qualifying platform and you can submit a claim. And the in-app Invite Friends program gives both you and your friend bonus Trip Coins once the friend completes a first eligible booking. Members Day, on the 27th of each month, brings vouchers worth up to $80 off flights and hotels.

How to Redeem a Trip.com Promo Code

- Open the Account tab and go to Vouchers & Promo Code (on desktop: Account, then Promo Codes).
- Enter the code in the promo code box to add it to your account, then apply it at checkout and confirm the discount shows before paying.
How We Check These Deals
Each code above was kept only after it appeared on two or more independent deal trackers within the last seven days. Codes that showed up on a single site or carried another region’s terms were left out. Read exactly how we check deals at /how-i-check-deals/.
Trip.com Promo FAQs
Q. Why did my Trip.com code fail at checkout?
A. The usual reasons are a missed minimum spend, booking on desktop when the code is app-only, or using a code meant for another country. Re-read the terms line by line before retrying.
Q. Can I combine a promo code with Trip Coins?
A. Usually not for double savings. Offer terms on several codes say they cannot be used with other offers, and Trip Coins rebates are calculated on the post-discount amount.
Q. Do Trip.com codes work on both flights and hotels?
A. Most codes are product-specific. TRIPTUE20USD is flights-only, TRIP5CAR is car-rental-only, and GIESWKNFXG is for vacation rentals. Read what the code covers.
Q. Is there a Trip.com student discount?
A. Trackers describe an official student program with up to 30% off flight fares for verified students aged 16 to 35, with extra baggage and flexible change options. Status has to be verified during booking.
Q. What is Trip.com Members Day?
A. A monthly promotion on the 27th where members can claim vouchers worth up to $80 off flights and hotels. Quantities are limited, so they go on a first-come basis.
Discounts change fast. Trackers report what they saw working at the time they checked, and we have not tested these codes ourselves. Always read the terms on the checkout page before you pay.
